Have You Served in the Military?
Modesto Technical College is recognized by the State of California Bureau and is approved for Veterans training. Our approved status allows military Veterans and their immediate families who are entitled to funding under the GI Bill to receive an appropriate payment from the Veterans Administration for training received at Modesto Technical College.
Welcome All Veterans!
Unemployed Veterans ages 35 to 60 may be eligible to apply for the newly approved GI Bill. This benefit provides up to 12 months of Montgomery GI Bill benefits for older unemployed Veterans who may have thought they were not eligible for GI Bill benefits.

Industrial Refrigeration
Train to become an Industrial Refrigeration Technician with RETA Certification. We are the only Vocational College in the West Coast to offer state-of-the-art training in Industrial & Ammonia Refrigeration.
Auto Technology
We provide a mix of in-depth instruction and hands-on training with experienced certified instructors, and one-on-one training with industry-standard tools from computer diagnostics to engine dyno testing.
Maintenance Technology
Our Industrial Technology program offers fundamental and real world hands-on training on industrial equipment and systems. We have state-of-the-art hardware for students to gain knowledge and experience.
Welding Technology
Our graduates are qualified welders who are in demand by employers. Employers choose our graduates because they are familiar with our programs and know that our graduates are have the practical skills necessary to be a welder.
