Have You Served in the Military? Modesto Technical College is recognized by the State of California Bureau and is approved for Veterans training. Our approved status allows military Veterans and their immediate families who are entitled to funding under the GI Bill to receive an appropriate payment from the Veterans Administration for training received at Modesto Technical College.
Welcome All Veterans! Unemployed Veterans ages 35 to 60 may be eligible to apply for the newly approved GI Bill. This benefit provides up to 12 months of Montgomery GI Bill benefits for older unemployed Veterans who may have thought they were not eligible for GI Bill benefits.

Industrial Refrigeration

Train to become an Industrial Refrigeration Technician with RETA Certification. We are the only Vocational College in the West Coast to offer state-of-the-art training in Industrial & Ammonia Refrigeration.

Auto Technology

We provide a mix of in-depth instruction and hands-on training with experienced certified instructors, and one-on-one training with industry-standard tools from computer diagnostics to engine dyno testing.

Maintenance Technology

Our Industrial Technology program offers fundamental and real world hands-on training on industrial equipment and systems. We have state-of-the-art hardware for students to gain knowledge and experience.

Welding Technology

Our graduates are qualified welders who are in demand by employers. Employers choose our graduates because they are familiar with our programs and know that our graduates are have the practical skills necessary to be a welder.

NIGHT WELDING CLASSES OFFERED

Modesto Technical College has scheduled the Night Welding class. This Class has been developed to meet the needs for a short training program offered in the evening. AWS Certification is offered in four welding processes.

You can Certify in one area of  your choice. Training and Certification are offered in : SMAW (Arc), GMAW (Mig),GTAW (Tig) and SMAW (Arc Pipe in the 6 G position. You can choose 1 of the areas that you want to train and Certify in. Arc and Mig are on Structural Steel, Tig on Stainless Steel Tubing-Sanitary.
    
Classes will begin again on July 27 and Last 12 weeks Class times are on Monday to Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm 4 nights each week for 12 weeks.There are a limited number of training slots.
